While we're hashing out the brackets for the best movies bracket, let's get started on the bracket for the biggest one hit wonders. This post is a chance now for anyone to nominate a song as a one hit wonder or to protest the inclusion of any of the songs mentioned below as a one hit wonders.
The criteria for this bracket are much more specific. We're voting for the song that was the biggest hit (popularity, sales, playtime, how widely known, how long-lived, etc.) AND was the ONLY hit by that artist AND it is a "wonder" as to how the hell this artist or song became so successful. Even a second song that was a minor hit should count against that song being the biggest one hit wonder ever. This one should be easier for everyone to participate in because if you haven't heard of the song it probably wasn't that big of a hit. Thus whether you like the song is not entirely relevant for this bracket other than to confirm that it was a "hit" with you. (This definition is of course up for debate.)
Here are some suggestions. Add your suggestions in the comments. I nominate Brian to pick the sixty-four competitors and their seedings.

Gorillaz have several other hits...try Clint Eastwood which is their first hit...so they should be off the list
Celine Dion had more than 1 hit.
Yes, I hate her as much as you do, but still.... not a 1 hit wonder.
I mostly had Celine Dion on there to harass Adri.
I can take those two off. Do you have any to add?
I caught the joke Taylor. Thanks for the shoutout. If I'm being honest, it hurts my heart that in a list that includes Sir Mix-a-Lot and Vanilla Ice, Celine Dion is the punchline.
I'm not trying to rain on your parade or anything. But what is the point based on your criteria?
Can't you just look up the highest selling one hit wonder and be done with this discussion?
I am ok with the idea, I just think your criteria for picking the song is off. It should be like the last bracket, whatever you liked more. Otherwise I can just look up the stats and sales for these bands and tell you who number one is.
Those numbers may give some idea as to which was bigger, but won't take into account how long a song has lasted and made its way into popular culture. I'm totally fine with just having it be whichever song you like more since that woudl make it more of a hit with you, so long as we can first make sure all the participants qualify as one hit wonders.
. . . and there's an awful lot of negativity from you people despite the fact that you claim you want to do random brackets on everything.
If we can get to 64 one hit wonders we can just vote on what is the BEST one hit wonder. In retrospect I think the criteria approach is too technical.
And consider this bracket a warm-up for when we do the movie bracket. Everyone should be watching all the movies they want to see beforehand.
