Question to bet on:
Considering that both Hobbes and Leslie are firmly committed to gaining ridiculous amounts of weight during 2009, I pose the following question: on Brian's 30th birthday, May 1, 2009, who will weigh more, Leslie or Hobbes. I think it is a toss-up and I'm willing to take either side of the bet. So regardless of what we're doing for Brian's 30th birthday, we need to have a scale there.

Leslie currently weighs 130 with clothes on at the doctor's office on Friday. I haven't weighed Hobbes recently but I think he's at least 25 pounds.
Leslie's mom said that she would bet on Hobbes. I think with the added weight of the baby that Leslie will be able to hold on and win.

2. I would be offended that you posted my weight on the interwebs but the Money Beets only have 4 fans so it's not that big of a deal.
Alright Adri and Leslie, I'll bet you a dollar each that Hobbes will weigh more on Brian's birthday than Leslie does.
You're on. Hobbes won't even weigh more than Leslie does NOW. Seriously... do you know how big a 130-lb. dog is? This debate makes me angry. Also making me angry... weighing more than a woman who's 4-months pregnant.
On May 1, Hobbes will be 6 months old. We met a Mastiff down at the breeder's place that was six months old and well above a hundred pounds. We'll see how much weight Leslie actually puts on, but Hobbes will certainly be well fed so I think it will be close.
