Awesome game last night. A ton of goals and some tempers flairing. I made friends with the opposing goalie who may or may not still be planning to murder me. I see now why Sean Avery loves being the gadfly of hockey. To inspire a goalie to drop his gloves and attack me the second the final buzzer sounds is hilarious.

excuuuuuse me. you mentioned that you scored a goal but failed to disclose an encounter with the goalie. Care to elaborate?
Allow me:
Taylor goes for puck at whistle. People take offense. Some pushing and shoving between Taylor and others. Taylor headbutts someone(not sure if it was goalie or player). Goalie yells at Taylor. Game goes on. Buzzer sounds. Goalie throws off pads and goes straight for Taylor. Scuffle begins. 5 minutes later scuffle ends. Game over.
To clarify, after going for the puck, which was NOT covered by the goalie, one of their players punched me in the cage. In the scrum following that the goalie came up and was staring me down so I skated towards him and hit my face into his. While I was taller than him and had some force behind the motion, "head-butt" is a little strong of a word, even though it does sound much more bad-ass.
Also, I love hockey.
You "hit your face into his"? Fyi, that is a head-butt. But also, who are you? May I remind you that you are an attorney; you play settlers of catan; you only drink certain types of bottled water; and YOU DO NOT HEADBUTT PEOPLE IN BRONZE LEAGUE HOCKEY. Knock it off.
Ohh don't pussyfoot around it now. The entire car ride home you were calling it a headbutt.

I don't want to oversell it and excuse me for trying to not get in trouble with the old ball-and-chain. I did what I did and if that's a headbutt then that's fine. "Headbutt" just sounds like I smashed his face in, which, unfortunately I did not.
But we should play Settlers of Catan more often. Dustin would definitely act like he's too cool for it.
